How we got started

On a nice sunny Spring day in 2017 Cindy and I were sitting on my deck overlooking my lush green backyard—the birds were chirping, early flowers started to pop up everywhere, bees were buzzing and around us there was such excitement as mother nature was renewing herself again.

As we sipped our coffee and enjoyed the scenery we started dreaming about how great it would be to take inspiration from nature and make our own arts and crafts. We talked about up-cycling treasures, giving them new life and helping the environment for our grandchildren.

And as they say, the rest was history. From there we started our company in May of that same year. 

About Cindy

Cindy has spent many years making sea glass jewelry. Her husband and blended family have spent hours scouring the beaches for beach glass and cleaning up a lot of trash in the process. 

About Sabine

Sabine has a degree in floral design and is originally from Germany. She grew up in a nature loving and creative environment. Her parents owned a nursery and flower shop. 

How we got our business name

Odettas is the perfect combination of both of our last names. The bee in our logo reminds us of that spring day when all of this started. The bee also symbolizes hard work and resourcefulness.
